Deep experience in EV technology
Electric power units, regenerative braking and batteries are not new to the world of high-powered vehicles. The use of hybrid technology in F1 began in 2009 with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) and has evolved significantly since then.
Electric components in F1 serve to increase efficiency and provide a power boost, rather than being the primary source of propulsion, but there is a significant overlap in a lot of the technologies now being used in mass-market EVs.

EV battery assessments
We realised that with the shift to fully electric power, age and mileage would no longer be enough to value and have confidence in vehicles.
Batteries are fundamental to the function and performance of EVs, but battery health and degradation are not currently transparent to buyers.
We saw the urgent need for simple and easy battery testing and launched Generational in 2023.
Our mission
We’re here to help eliminate uncertainty and enable people to buy and sell with transparency when it comes to electric vehicles.
Product Innovation of the year

We are hugely proud to have won Car Dealer Power Awards Product Innovation of the Year, voted by dealers as the best innovation amongst all automotive suppliers.

MassChallenge
We’re proud to have been selected to join the MassChallenge program. MassChallenge is a global organisation, known for identifying and accelerating high-potential net-negative carbon startups across all industries.

APC Grant Winner
Generational has been awarded a grant from the Advanced Propulsion Centre’s Technology Developer Accelerator Programme (TDAP). This prestigious program supports the development of innovative low-carbon automotive technologies in the UK.

Greentech Alliance Member
We’re honoured to be part of the Greentech Alliance, a community of promising start-ups and scale-ups in the green technology sector. This membership amplifies our efforts to drive sustainable innovation in the automotive industry.
